From JAMROCK to THE ROCK
Tales of a Jamaican Boy, Big Dreams, and Foreign Life’s Fine Print
I grew up barefoot in rural Jamaica—climbing mango trees, building forts, and dreaming big.
Years later, I found myself navigating life in America, learning that success comes with receipts, rules, and fine print nobody warns you about.

What this book is about
This is not a rags-to-riches story.

It’s a collection of memories, observations, and lessons—from growing up poor in Jamaica to working, paying taxes, and raising a family in America.
Some stories are funny. Some are uncomfortable. All of them are true.
This book is about identity, immigration, family, and the quiet cost of chasing a better life.
Meet the Author

I was born and raised in Jamaica and now live in California. My writing explores memory, migration, culture shock, and the humor we use to survive hard truths. From JAMROCK to THE ROCK is my attempt to document the stories we carry with us—long after we leave home.
